How to register a product

This Article describes the registering process of BXTO equipments for BXT connect

1 - Product flow

Before a customer can see data of a system on its dashboard, the processing unit must be "registered" <=> the PU must be linked to a company and a vehicle.

Camera can as well be registered, this is interesting to ensure a proper traceability and ease Service operation (repairing process, etc.). However PU only can give access to data.

A product will have to evolve between the following stages: 

"Validation Required" => "Registered"

• Validation required = registering operation has been carried out and product/ company association needs to be validated

• Registered = registration has been validated

2 - Registration through Dashboard App

This can only be implemented once the company and the "company manager" user have been established, as described in the article How to create a company and a user

A product registering goes with the creation of a vehicle name. It's NOT possible to register a product without linking it to a vehicle name.

 At this stage, it's still not possible to view data of a system in the dashboard

3 - Product Registration validation

After Registration process (from Arcure or from customer), we reach the stage "Validation Required" for the product. 

Before validating, one should confirm the correspondance between SN and the company.

After this stage, the product is registered. It's available in customer's dashboard.
